Every Chewy Math lesson follows a proven four-step structure that builds deep mathematical understanding. Developed by our founder with over 19 years of classroom experience.
Logic — Every lesson begins with conceptual understanding. We use bar models, visual tools, and concrete examples so your child understands WHY a method works.
In practice: Before teaching any procedure, we ask: Does this make sense to you?
Equation — Once the logic is understood, students learn to express it mathematically. From number sentences in P1 to algebraic expressions in P6, we build equation fluency.
Application — Scaffolded practice moves from guided to independent. Carefully sequenced questions that increase in difficulty.
Patterns — The highest level of mathematical thinking: recognising patterns across topics. Essential for PSLE success.
